Thanks, I see two items that are already on my shopping list.

One warning about the PS3 is that it cant play PS2 games (the newer PS3s arent backwards compatible).  And, a warning about the ship-to-store.  Page says free ship-to-store, but people on slickdeals have reported that they were charged nearly $9 shipping for it (someone suggested printing the page and taking it with you to walmart when you go to pick it up and then try to get them to refund the shipping)

There's already a PS2 in the house, I want the PS3 for my hubster and blu-ray dvds. (and also from what I'm told a killer tennis game)

If youre going to use it to watch movies, you'll want one of these http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5607955  Using the game controller to control the movie play functions is a pain in the butt.

Heck yuh, I've watched the children using their game controllers when they put a DVD and it's a pain.

I'm still trying to weigh my options of yes, no, should I spend it elsewhere and trying to decide now. That gift card is one sweet addition and hard to pass up when I was planning on maybe buying one of these anyway.

another update - the giftcard that comes with the one on walmart.com can only be used at walmart.com and samsclub.com  It cannot be used in-store.   And, others have reported that the site-to-store shipping option disappears during checkout.

If indeed the giftcard cant be used in-store, one workaround would be to use it to buy a real gift card http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?dest=9999999997&product_id=9124830&sourceid=35889884620853676743

As for the PS3 unit - I really like mine, even though I seldom play it. The Hi-def graphics on the games are awesome!

Well, that puts a new spin on my decision making.

I hadn't gotten that far into looking into the "specs".

I think I'm gonna have to pass if I can only spend it at the .coms.
